The Nutritarian Women’s Health Study is a long term hybrid study which will track women’s health over time as they adopt and follow a Nutritarian Diet, as described by Joel Fuhrman MD. The Nutritarian Diet is plant-rich and nutrient-dense, focusing on foods that contain the necessary micronutrients for excellent health and disease prevention.
Participants are referred to a secure website where they view 5 instructional videos on the meal plan and provide detailed medical and diet histories. Ongoing support is offered via a blog and periodic emails. Surveys on health and diet practices are completed on an annual basis.
The study is supported by Northern Arizona University and funded by the Nutritional Research Foundation.
