Shipra Bansal is a board-certified Family Physician at North Country HealthCare, a community health center in Flagstaff, Arizona. She has been integrating Lifestyle Medicine into her clinical practice for 4 years. She has developed a group visit model for patients interested in treating their chronic disease with diet. The classes focus on making healthy eating available to a community health center based population.
Dr. Bansal is also a Regional Director of Medical Education with AT Still University School of Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) where she heads up the second year student program. Over the past year, she has successfully led the effort to integrate Lifestyle Medicine longitudinally at ATSU-SOMA and is now implementing it for first and second year students.
Dr. Bansal has been the Medical Director for the Sedona Health and Nutrition Conference for the past two years and speaks to groups around Arizona regularly about how to incorporate Lifestyle Medicine into their lives and practices.
