Vice President, Planning and Marketing
Marcy Madrid is the Vice President of Planning and Marketing for Midland Health, a system of healthcare partners in Midland Texas, including Midland Memorial Hospital. In her current role, Marcy oversees strategic planning, community health outreach, marketing and public relations, sales as well as employee engagement and patient experience. Led by the overwhelming research and evidence supporting plant based nutrition in healthcare, Marcy has spearheaded a community garden project, launched the first ever Food Is Medicine health conference in West Texas and collaborated with the city government, school district and a local community college to increase health literacy through a variety of cross-city community outreach activities and events. Marcy and other members of the Midland Health executive team are currently embarking on a holistic approach to their traditional healthcare delivery model incorporating plant based nutrition as a cornerstone. This includes an overhaul of the inpatient nutrition program, diabetes education, cafeteria offerings and even the creation of a new, unique and progressive approach to employee wellness.
Marcy is also working alongside the Vice President of Medical Affairs to lead a 2 month research project involving a plant based nutrition health immersion with the system’s sickest employees.Marcy is also among the founding members of the HEALthy City Foundation; a local non-profit aimed at increasing health education, awareness and local resources related to the Food as Medicine, plant based nutrition model.
Before coming to Midland Health, Marcy was a morning show anchor and reporter for the local NBC affiliate, where she was recognized and awarded for her writing and storytelling skills by the Texas Association of Broadcasters.
